How to write a Post-Interview Thank you letter

Writing a thank-you letter after a job interview is always a good idea. Some employers think less of interviewees who fail to follow-up promptly. it shows your interest in the position. It's quick and easy to follow up after an interview with an email.

Why thank-you letters? It's just plain, good manners.

But there's also another purpose, a thank-you note is your opportunity to get your name in front of people one last time and leave a positive impression. 
It allows you to sell yourself as a candidate. You can reference specific instances that may have come up in an interview. Use your thank-you letter to highlight the ways your skills and experience are a good match for the position. Also, if there's something you forgot to mention during the interview, this is a great opportunity to bring it up.
•  Subject line: “Thank you for your time”
•  Email body: Begin with a personalized greeting (e.g. “Hello John” or “Hi John”)
•  Then begin the main section of your email by thanking them and showing your appreciation for their time during the interview
•  Next, mention something specific you talked about in the interview that you enjoyed learning about, so they know it’s written just for them
•   Reaffirm your interest in the position and tell them you’re excited to hear about the next steps
•  Tell them not to hesitate to contact you if they have any questions in the meantime
•  Optional: Include something to reaffirm that you’re confident you can perform well in this role and explain why. Remind them why you feel you could excel in the position. Keep it short and sweet.
